EyeCare America is a national public service program of the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Services Offered
- Health
- Through the Seniors EyeCare Program, provides a comprehensive, medical eye exam and up to one year of care—at no out-of-pocket cost—for any disease diagnosed during the initial exam for people eligible for a referral.
- Health Services
- Provides medical and surgical eye care. Also, through associated Glaucoma Project, provides a dilated eye examination for those at risk for glaucoma. Examination is free to citizens or legal residents without other access to care.
- Information and Referral
- Individuals can go to www.eyecareamerica.org and take an online questionnaire to see if they qualify for a referral to one of EyeCare America's 7,000 volunteer ophthalmologists nationwide or request free eye health educational materials.
