About Serotek’s SAMNet
SAMNet (System Access Mobile Network) is Serotek’s Internet community that provides access to email, news, described video service, digital talking book players, blogs, personal websites, and many other features and services.
SAMNet for Veterans
Serotek’s SAMNet Internet community is available as a lifetime subscription for all eligible blind and visually impaired veterans, in a program called SAMNet Vets. Veterans who have served on active duty with the United States military and are eligible for services through the Veterans’ Administration Blind Rehabilitation Services are eligible for the SAMNet Vets program.
The Application Process
Interested veterans can work with a Veterans’ Administration Visual Impairment Services Team (VIST) professional to complete the paperwork verifying eligibility for the SAMNet Vets service. When you’re ready to begin the application process, you can use the online SAMNet Signup Form for Veterans. The SAMNet Vets website provides additional application details and information.

Additional Veterans’ Services at VisionAware
A new information hub for veterans with vision loss, titled “Information for Veterans Coping with Vision Loss,” is now available on the VisionAware website. Timed to coincide with this year’s observation of Veterans’ Day, this new resource serves veterans with vision loss, their families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and social service professionals.
